"Listening to alleged "fans" and the most active/vocal supporters is not always the best advice." my whole point. Listening to alleged "fans" and the most active/vocal supporters is not always the best advice. In the same way they listened to them during the kickstarter campaign and again during the fig campaign for PoE 2. Various early adaptors - I'm not a kickstarter backer but a prepurchaser - have complained about the Adra dragon, and I guess the developers have listened to them. It's not the toughest foe anymore since The White March. Since that is only a large side-quest dungeon, there is no need to go down there before level 12 or such. When to meet the Adra Dragon depends on how earlier a player tries to reach the depths of the Endless Paths of Od Nua. Cheat tools have been mentioned in the forum(s) before, too, but bear a risk and some people defend them even because they claim they use such tools to reset unlocked achievements. Loading old savegame files published by kickstarter backers is one way. Some players ended up with overpowered characters due to bugs and didn't even notice that.Īny of those players, who insist on unlocking the kickstarter achievement, can search for ways how to cheat. For quite some time, some savegames were affected by bugs making the watcher or companions weaker or stronger. The original game was published with a manual that was wrong about the attributes, for example. Perhaps you've improved your combat skills since then. The spider at the end of the tutorial dungeon a Cilant Lis has never been a problem. And that makes you think well i can't COMPLETE it no matter how hard i try so why bother at all.and there's why no one has your 98% It's not EVEN just a case of lower mob numbers they have been nerfed.even the first fight vs the hunters the leader is now pretty much just as weak as the other scabs, the big spider at the end of the ruins is a walkover.etc etc.fights where before i had to take care in normal mode i was just walking through in hard mode.Īnd to go back to where i started.sure its a "non issue" when so many other achievements are daunting.but there's a difference between daunting and TOTALLY IMPOSSIBLE - which unless you ks backed.that achi IS. When i first reinstalled the game (which i completed before i had White Marsh) i re-started in hard mode and it was easier than normal previously was. But whether cross class skills are powerful or not does not change the fact that the entire game is clearly massively easier for no apparent reason other than cow towing to bad gamers. Well when some of them are as ridiculous as The Ultimate (not to mention all the solo achievements that negate half the purpose of a game with party combat and companion interaction) you have a point re achievements. Kickstarter backer achievement is a non-issue for the majority of players, because hardly anyone plays the game enough as to unlock the other 98% of the achievements first. The game has become more and more playable on the way to version 2. Version 1 of the game was largely unbalanced in various way (not only abilities, but also weapons), with early adopters of the game bragging about defeating the adra dragon only with the help of spamming paralyzation scrolls, for example. Apprentice's Sneak Attack is not backstabbing, but only +15% damage bonus on foes that suffer from some afflictions. Veteran's Recovery is not a strong as the fighter's. It's almost like you've thrown up your hands to all the whiners and just thrown away the rule book. And you seem to forget that whilst the previously impossible ones are now possible that 100% achievements are STILL IMPOSSIBLE for the majority of players due to the stupid "be a kickstarter backer" achievement.īut the biggest issue for me is the change in armour requirements and the interchangeable class skills - whilst it may be a nice idea to have your main player character totally flexible it's ludicrous that all companions are as well.having a mage that can backstab or have warriors fortitude makes ZERO sense and takes the ROLE out of roleplay. The mistake here was making some of the achievements so ridiculous in the first place. I reinstall it after years of not playing to find that character class skills are weird and interchangeable, Path of the Damned, which was previously nigh on impossible is now what normal mode used to be, all difficulty settings BELOW PoD have far less mobs per encounter. Seems to me that the devs totally crumbled to players complaining the game was too hard.
